The bell foundry of Paccard

Established in 1796, this founder is the pioneer of all bell founders in France. Its masterpieces are exhibited in Paccard’s museum. We invite you to make a visit to our museum and to have an idea about our creations.

A bell foundry is a place where steel and other metals are founded in order to make artistic creations out of them. Paccard’s bell foundry creations consist in cast bronze bells and their accessories. These bells are made from pure red copper and block tin. They are meticulously prepared by hand, using the lost wax process. Afterwards, they are tuned to produce soft melodious sound.

Two centuries of work, studies and experimentations on the bronze and its sound helped Paccard’s bell foundry succeed in producing high-quality carillons and bells for churches, universities and houses.
