BELLS EQUIPEMENTS

Electronic striker back to main menu

The electronic clapper, is an electronic hammer, which replaces the clapper for stationary bells, such as in the ringing of the hour or for electric carillons.

It is a ball made of soft steel or iron, calibrated to the weight of the bell. This ball is mounted onto a steel arm and plate; the whole is fixed onto a pivoting axe.

An electronic clapper can be mounted on the interior or exterior of a bell. If the bell tower is protected by louvers, we advise fitting the electronic clapper onto the exterior of the bell. However, if the bell is visible (from a window or an outdoor belfry) we recommend an interior installation as it guarantees better protection for the electronic clapper against weather conditions as well as look better.
